The Minotaur

The Minotaur, in Labyrinth, is vicious and interesting. The Cretans would even sacrifice seven youths and seven maidens each year to the Minotaur. The Minotaur is half man and half bull. Many monuments were made because of the Minotaur. This is because they thought that an earthquake was really just the Minotaur making angry rattles all over the earth.

I have long enjoyed Cretan myths and stories myself. I was surprised to learn--within the last year--just how many of the famous stories I knew were all tied to one lone Cretan myth.
